With a 30-year history of innovation in music and creative education, gaining full DAPs marks a major milestone in pointblank's evolution and strengthens the long‑term value and credibility of its degrees in the UK and internationally.

pointblank music school has established a global reputation for industry‑focused programmes, exceptional teaching, and positive graduate outcomes. Building on their Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold rating, this latest achievement formally recognises the institution's academic excellence, strong governance, and long‑term stability.

pointblank joins a select group of independent higher education providers authorised not only to award their own degrees, but also to validate programmes for partner institutions.

The decision follows a rigorous assessment process by the Office for Students (OfS) and reflects pointblank's high standards in teaching, academic quality, and student experience.

pointblank is authorised to award its own degrees from 1 April 2026.

Jules Brookes, pointblank's Head of Institution, said:

“Being awarded Full Degree Awarding Powers is a significant moment for pointblank. It recognises the strength of our academic provision, our commitment to teaching excellence, and the quality of the student experience we deliver. Alongside our TEF Gold rating, this achievement confirms our position as a trusted and established higher education institution and supports our ambition to continue shaping the future of creative education.”
