Membership application steps

IHE is an influential voice for independent providers and a valued source of expertise, connection, and support. IHE membership is for independent providers of higher education, professional training or pathway programmes in the UK.

Application process

The application process for organisations eligible for membership consists of three components:

  1. Online application form – complete the form and upload supplementary documentation as required (a non-refundable application fee of £150 applies).
  2. Online interview – we will schedule a meeting with the head of institution to learn more about the mission and ethos of your organisation and discuss information provided.
  3. Consideration by IHE’s Board - a summary report is sent to our Board for consideration of a new member. In most cases, the Board will aim to reach a decision within two weeks from receiving a report. 

All members of IHE commit to upholding IHE values and act in accordance with IHE’s membership regulations.
