Approaches to addressing harassment and sexual misconduct

An information resource to support IHE members with the implementation of the new OfS condition of registration E6 - Harassment and sexual misconduct from 1 August 2025.

This information resource has been created to support provider strategies for compliance with the Office for Student’s (OfS) new regulation on harassment and sexual misconduct, in particular the requirement to publish a single source of information which sets out the steps that providers will take.

Since the initial consultation in 2023, we have worked collaboratively with members to develop a resource that will support providers to make informed decisions on the approaches they take, drawing on members' existing work to safeguard and support students.

We thank all those who have contributed to the development of this resource, through participation in working groups, by providing examples, and sharing feedback on content. It is designed to be read in conjunction with the OfS guidance and provides suggested strategies and practical steps, examples of current practice, and links to further resources.

The resource is available to IHE members only. To request a copy, please email [email protected].
