With nearly four decades of experience, the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI) provides opportunities for learning that enable students and graduates to play a significant role in enhancing the lives of their clients.
Based in Nottingham, SPTI is a not-for-profit educational provider offering professional and academic training across a range of therapeutic approaches, from introductory courses through to BSc (Hons) and MSc qualifications validated by the University of Staffordshire.
Recognised for its academic rigour, clinical excellence and commitment to ethical practice, SPTI delivers flexible programmes designed to fit alongside employment. Its teaching combines high professional standards with a strong focus on personal development, research and innovation, helping students develop the knowledge, skills and clinical competence needed for successful practice.
Graduates are eligible for accreditation with leading professional bodies including the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA). Beyond its core programmes, SPTI also offers workshops and continuing professional development opportunities led by experienced practitioners and internationally recognised experts.
