NYU London joins IHE

New York University’s global academic centre in London offers immersive UK learning experiences to students from around the world.

As part of New York University’s global network, the site enables students from across its campuses to study in London for up to a full academic year, with courses fully integrated into their degree programmes.

NYU London offers a broad, liberal arts-based curriculum, with particularly strong provision in business, economics and finance, international relations, literature and theatre, psychology, and Africana studies, alongside a full range of STEM courses. Around 80 courses are delivered each semester, many incorporating site visits and co-curricular activity that make London itself an extended classroom. Students may also undertake internships for academic credit, alongside opportunities for volunteering and community engagement.

The site welcomes both study away students from NYU’s degree-granting campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai, as well as first-year students in select programmes through the London Global Gateway, an integrated academic and co-curricular experience designed to support a successful transition into university study before continuing in New York.

Located on the Strand in central London, NYU London draws on the city’s rich academic and cultural environment. Students benefit from a comprehensive support structure, including dedicated student life staff, on-site counselling, healthcare provision, and a wide-ranging programme of cultural events, excursions and activities across the UK.

Rogan Kersh, Interim Site Director, NYU London commented:

"As NYU London grows into our expansive new space and welcomes new student programs, we are pleased to join the IHE community. Our partnership will enable engagement with IHE expert leaders and fellow member institutions, enhancing our ability to re-imagine NYU global education in a fast-changing higher education realm."

Alex Proudfoot, Chief Executive of IHE added:

"It’s fantastic to welcome an institution of NYU’s global renown to IHE. Making the UK a key pillar of NYU's international strategy speaks to their dedication to providing world-class, globally connected education. NYU London gives students from around the world the opportunity to study in one of its most dynamic, vibrant, and culturally diverse cities, and in IHE's community of likeminded education pioneers, they have found their home from home.”

Our partnership will enhance our ability to re-imagine NYU global education in a fast-changing higher education realm.
