The ICMT delivers industry-focused training that reflects the realities of the musical theatre profession.
Based in East London, the ICMT is a specialist provider dedicated to developing adaptable and employable musical theatre performers. The College combines high-quality, intensive training with a supportive, values-led environment. Its programmes are taught by current West End and Broadway professionals, bringing together expertise from both sides of the Atlantic to ensure students learn the latest industry practices in singing, acting, and dance.
The College offers the first UK accelerated two-year BA (Hons) Musical Theatre Performance degree, alongside foundation pathways, diplomas, and short professional development courses. The accelerated model enables students to achieve a full honours degree in two years while maintaining the intensity, contact hours, and practical focus of conservatoire-style training. Small class sizes and daily studio-based work ensure students receive personalised guidance and can maximise their potential.
The ICMT also delivers an International Pathway in Musical Theatre, reflecting its growing global presence. Training takes place across London and Hamburg, with additional masterclasses and industry exposure in New York, giving students a breadth of professional insight and experience across different international contexts.
Students not only develop technical skills but also build professional behaviours, resilience, and adaptability, preparing them for the demands of the competitive, global performing arts industry. Regular performance opportunities, professional showcases, and structured rehearsal processes mirror real-world practice, fostering confidence and a readiness to step into professional roles.
