Dedicated exclusively to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), the Institute for Equity, University Centre delivers research-led programmes and sector-wide services designed to drive meaningful change in society.
The Institute offers a comprehensive range of professional qualifications that build expertise and strengthen leadership capacity in EDI by linking theory with practice and organisational contexts. Its current suite of programmes includes Level 7 certificates and diplomas in EDI and strategic leadership, the EDI fellowship, and an MBA in Leadership, Equity & Organisational Development.
Alongside its teaching, the Institute also leads research and consultancy projects across a diverse range of sectors, including banking, education, the nuclear industry, professional services, local government, charities, and uniformed services. Its clients and learners include organisations such as the Bank of England, British Council, Independent Office for Police Conduct, Church of England, and several local authorities and police services. This breadth of engagement highlights the Institute’s national impact and underscores the increasing importance of specialist EDI expertise.
Through its focused academic offer and cross-sector partnerships, the Institute supports the development of skilled and reflective practitioners who are equipped to lead positive, lasting change within their organisations and communities.
