We are delighted to see three IHE member institutions – Cambridge Education Group, Kaplan International Pathways, and Study Group – recognised as finalists in UKCISA’s #WeAreInternational Awards.
The #WeAreInternational Awards celebrate the individuals, teams and organisations creating exceptional international student experiences across the UK. This year's shortlist recognises excellence across 15 categories, highlighting the contributions of students, student groups, higher education professionals, education providers and sector partners.
Shortlisted across five categories, we are proud to see several IHE Members recognised alongside inspiring individuals and organisations committed to supporting international students and creating welcoming learning communities.
Cambridge Education Group, Kaplan International Pathways and Study Group have been shortlisted in the Pathway Provider of the Year category, which recognises a pathway provider that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to supporting and enhancing the international student experience.
Htet Aung, a student at Study Group's Royal Holloway International Study Centre, is a finalist for the Student of the Year Award, which celebrates an outstanding international student whose individual achievements, positive spirit, and impactful contributions have significantly enriched their student community and beyond.
Ruth Arnold, Executive Director of External Affairs at Study Group, and Hannah Stanworth, Student Wellbeing Lead at Cambridge Education Group, are both finalists in the Alastair Niven Student Voice Champion category. This award, named in tribute to the Chair of UKCISA from 1987-1992, honours an individual staff member who actively values and champions the perspectives and voices of international students in their policy and decision-making processes.
Kaplan International Pathways is a finalist in the Outstanding Student Support Award (Physical and mental wellbeing) for The Kaplan Student Resilience and Wellbeing Ecosystem. This award cateogory recognises a team or teams within an education provider or a students’ union that provide exceptional support for the physical and mental well-being of international students.
Finally, the Student Experience Team at Study Group's University of Sheffield International College is shortlisted for the Outstanding Student Support Award (Making a home in the UK), which celebrates a team or teams within an education provider or a students’ union that excel in helping international students make a home in the UK.
