Preparing for effective student elections

Independent providers often voice the wish for greater support both for staff who work with student representatives, and for the representatives themselves.

The team from Coole Insight will lead this webinar drawing on their extensive experience in supporting student officers, and offering advice to Students’ Unions and providers. The session will advise IHE members on how to apply the key principles of effective student elections in settings without formal Students’ Union structures. The webinar will include:

- Building a culture of student representation in your cohorts – whether at modular, course, governor level – or something else

- Diversity and representation

- The practicalities of managing elections

- The top tips for success

- What to do when elections don't work

The presentation will be followed by the opportunity for a Q&A.
