Next steps for franchise and subcontract providers: Preparing for OfS registration

In the recently published post-16 skills and education white paper, the Department for Education (DfE) has confirmed that franchise and subcontract providers will need to register with the Office for Students (OfS) to continue accessing student loan funding. A full response confirming thresholds for the requirement and the timeline for implementation is expected shortly.

This session is particularly timely for providers planning to submit applications before January, when new OfS registration rules will introduce a 12-month reapplication ban for those whose initial applications are unsuccessful.

This session will focus on:

  • Anticipated changes to the regulatory landscape following the DfE consultation
  • Key dates and considerations depending on your provision, including the benefits of applying before January
  • Why you may consider to change partnerships from franchise/subcontract to validation
  • Highlighting the support available from IHE

This session is relevant for providers currently operating in a subcontract or franchise partnership, considering application to the OfS.

Tickets for this session are free of charge, and it is open to IHE Members and non-members who are providers of higher education.
