Lifelong Learning Entitlement: Opportunities and challenges

From 2025 the funding system for higher education in England will change. It is estimated that over a million graduates will be given access to further funding for higher education courses, starting with level 4 & 5 and eventually level 6, with no restrictions on the level of study. Eligible students with no history of student finance will be granted the equivalent of four years of higher education tuition and maintenance funding, which they will be able to use on courses with as little as 30 credits. For the first time students will be able to access courses from different providers in a single academic year. Accelerated Degrees will be able to claim full funding for the credits they deliver.

Independent Higher Education providers have a unique opportunity to open their offers to more students than ever before. From our industry-leading short courses which may now be eligible for funding, to offering additional credits before or after study to boost student outcomes. In this short webinar IHE policy staff will share with members some of the opportunities we know match the agility and flexibility of our members, while outlining some of the challenges to student recruitment that may come with a shift in the funding model. Members can ask questions about the new LLE model, and test assumptions as they prepare their offer for 2025 and beyond.

Who should attend:
