IHE Roundtable: HESA Staff record consultation

HESA has released detailed proposals to amend the Staff record following a two year long review. The proposals include the widening the coverage of the record to include non-academic staff and staff not directly employed by the reporting provider.  They also include collecting information on staff functions using 4-SOC codes and collecting further data on staff from overseas including on visas and dependents.

IHE will be responding on behalf of members to this consultation, and we are seeking your input to shape our response. These changes will have a significant impact on providers required to return this data, and it is important we capture and outline what this will be.

At this roundtable the IHE policy team will provide an overview of the proposals and seek your feedback on questions including:

  • What data you already collect on the areas proposed
  • What value the new information proposed for collection would be to you as an institution
  • What impact these proposals would have, including the resource required and cost to implement

This roundtable is for Independent Higher Education members only.
