IHE are working with the Charlie Waller Trust to support our members in their creation or development of mental health strategies which are evidence based, and built on a whole institution approach.
To support the application of the Charlie Waller CREATE toolkit, the Charlie Waller Trust have designed a five stage layered training programme specifically for IHE members, which will be: delivered remotely; suitable for a diverse range of staff; flexible for different institutional needs. This first session is a webinar to invite participants to join this piloting of the CREATE toolkit within IHE members, with the following objectives:
• To understand what a whole institution approach is and why it is important
• To understand how and why the Charlie Waller toolkit was developed
• To understand the CREATE principles underpinning the toolkit
• To identify the CREATE tools in the toolkit
The webinar will include details on how to participate in the training programme, which will be available on a limited basis as institutions will also have opportunity to work with an allocated Charlie Waller trainer to meet their bespoke needs. Those who go on to participate in the full training programme will be invited to a further 4 sessions with the Charlie Waller Trust training team, hosted by IHE.
Following this initial programme of training, subject to availability and demand we will run the programme again in the future.
