HESA have launched the first in a series of consultations, looking at how and what is collected for in-year data. This consultation covers these main areas:
- Reference periods – including definitions, structure and timing of reference periods for in-year collections
- Two-week coverage rule – how to adapt current guidance for an in-year collection
- Graduate Outcomes survey population and the qualifiers population – considering the potential impact of earlier collection schedules
- Historic amendments – comments on decision made
This consultation will close on Friday 27 March 2026.
Join IHE on Thursday 12 March at 2pm-3.30pm to find out more about what’s being proposed and have the opportunity to discuss the implications of this, which will inform IHE's response. We are particularly interested in hearing from those who are responsible for submitting data to the current student record.
