Forthcoming changes under the Employment Rights Bill: Session 3

The third in a four-part series, this session with IHE Partner Eversheds Sutherland will focus in on some of the legal changes being introduced under the Employment Rights Bill that they expect are likely to have the biggest impact on members. This will include consideration of the proposed new rules on the use of zero hours contracts and notification of shift allocations, including how the rules will affect providers use of fixed-term contracts. The session will also explore the implications of the introduction of day-one unfair dismissal rights and how this may impact on the management of probationary periods.

Eversheds Sutherland will also provide a more general update on the progress of the Bill, including when its provisions are likely to come into force, and the Government’s other proposed employment law changes.

This session will be delivered by members of Eversheds Sutherland’s specialist higher education employment team, who will be happy to take questions and discuss the topics with delegates following their presentations.
