We now have sight of the long-awaited integrated quality consultation and invite IHE Members to join us for this deep dive into the link between data and outcome ratings.
With changes to B3 and its role within TEF, we are keen to hear views on how these developments may affect IHE Members. We will explore the journey of B3 and TEF, reflect on past challenges, and ask have they now been resolved?
Key questions for discussion include:
- Would you be comfortable with one TEF aspect having no rating—and if not, what should replace it?
- Does the revised approach to progression measures address your longstanding concerns?
- Continuation and completion will be benchmarked and measured as in TEF 2023—is consistency welcome, or should this have evolved?
- If students leave before completing their course for positive reasons, how will your institution be represented?
This session is aimed at data professionals as well as those who manage quality processes and TEF activities. We are also particularly interested in hearing the views of those who opted out of TEF 2023. We welcome attendance from all to learn from peers even if there has been no previous participation in the TEF, as TEF exercises will be mandatory for all registered with OfS in the future.
