Founded in 1976, The University of Buckingham was created as an antidote to the undermining of independence and academic freedom in universities. Academic excellence and student partnership have always been at the core of our offer: our students learn from the best in a setting where they are always a name, never a number. Likewise, innovation and entrepreneurship has been threaded through the University’s vision from the beginning.
Buckingham allows students to study a degree their way – with a range of study options, including fast-track schedules and September and January starts for almost all courses. This includes our four-and-a-half-year MBChB, as well as our famous two-year degree offering. Our students can also combine an undergraduate degree with either a foundation or postgraduate degree, meaning they can graduate with two qualifications in just three years.
Buckingham prides itself on delivering more than just an education; we provide a launchpad for careers. This commitment to career-focused courses sees us rank 2nd for Graduate Prospects (on track) in the Complete University Guide 2023.
