Organisational Learning Centre (OLC)

Organistional Learning Centre (OLC) has three campuses in the North West of England, located in Bolton, Manchester, and Oldham, with a fourth campus on Seven Sisters Road in London.

OLC was founded in 1998 as a spin-out enterprise from the University of Salford by Dr Chris Bamber, Dr John Sharp, and Dr Mick Hides. They were research colleagues investigating the People-Process interface and shared a purpose of improving the lives of individuals, teams and organisations. Inspired by their relationship with Professor Bob McQueen of San Jose State University, who was responsible for OLC in California, the principles of 'learning by doing' and 'respecting individuals from where they are at' were woven into the fabric of the College.

Providing a range of career-focused programmes, from foundation to advanced levels, OLC tailors its offerings to meet the needs of industries requiring practical expertise and professional skills. With a focus on practical learning and flexible pathways, these qualifications equip students for careers in specialised sectors or further academic progression.

With a distinctive spirit that embraces inclusivity, compassion and resilience, OLC is dedicated to excellence in higher education and has a clear vision of enhancing its positive impact on the societies it serves.
