Matrix was set up in 2001 to offer high-quality integrative training for counsellors. Matrix is registered with the UKCP and a member of the PCIPC (Psychotherapeutic Counselling & Intersubjective Psychotherapy) College.
Matrix offers a three-year BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling. The course is delivered and assessed by Matrix and is awarded and quality assured by Middlesex University. Students can gain UKCP registration as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with additional client work upon completing the course successfully.
Matrix aims to create a fertile learning environment where students can develop a sound philosophy of theory and practice that embraces concepts and perspectives from different schools of psychotherapy. This philosophy has to be coherent and congruent with the student's belief system.
The course creates competent Integrative Counsellors ready to work in the counselling field and develop a career in counselling. Graduates work in areas such as charitable organisations, GP surgeries, student support in universities and private practice.
