Raindance is an independent film school in London with a fierce independent spirit. Since 1992, we have provided courses in filmmaking, screenwriting, acting, business and marketing, with a unique approach that emphasises creative independence, allowing filmmakers to develop skills in a way that aligns with their own style and vision.
Students at Raindance benefit from mentor-based, industry-focused training, eligible student finance support, and unparalleled networking opportunities through the Raindance Film Festival (a BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festival) and the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA), which Raindance founded in 1998.
Our goal is to nurture students' potential, whether they aspire to be the next big thing in film or simply wish to build a sustainable creative career.
Beyond the film industry, the skills learned at Raindance - storytelling, audience building, entrepreneurship and adaptability in an AI-driven industry - are transferable to many other creative and business fields.
