Current provision to overseas partners
NCUK delivers programmes across multiple regions, including Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Our global network of in-country Study Centres continues to grow, supporting students to begin their international academic journey locally before progressing to leading universities worldwide.
Current TNE Offer
NCUK provides flexible TNE solutions through our ready-to-implement International Year One and International Year Two programmes. These enable partners to deliver 1+2, 2+1, and even full 3+0 (or 4+0) degree models in-country, offering students a high-quality, low-risk route to internationally recognised qualifications. Our academic expertise, global university network, and end-to-end support make NCUK an ideal partner for scalable, sustainable TNE delivery.
Future collaboration with overseas partners
We are actively seeking new delivery partners in strategic markets to expand our global reach. We also welcome collaboration with universities looking to enhance their international student recruitment, develop in-country delivery models, or co-create bespoke arrangements tailored to local market needs.
University of Leeds and UPC in Peru
In 2025, NCUK launched a strategic partnership with the University of Leeds and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) to establish a 2+2 transnational education pathway in Peru.
This collaboration enables Peruvian students to complete the first two years of their undergraduate studies at UPC, followed by the final two years at the University of Leeds.
This model combines UPC’s local academic excellence with Leeds’ globally recognised programmes, offering students a seamless transition to a top UK university. It provides a cost-effective and culturally supportive route to international higher education, aligning with NCUK’s mission to expand global access to quality UK degrees.
The partnership exemplifies NCUK’s commitment to flexible, scalable TNE solutions that cater to local market needs while maintaining rigorous academic standards. It also reflects the University of Leeds’ strategic focus on developing global talent through innovative international collaborations.
This initiative not only broadens educational opportunities for Peruvian students but also strengthens institutional ties between the UK and Latin America, showcasing the potential of collaborative TNE models in emerging markets.
Sino-British College (SBC)
Established in 2006, the Sino-British College (SBC) in Shanghai is a joint venture between the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) and nine UK universities, facilitated by NCUK.
SBC offers a unique 4+0 transnational education model, allowing students to complete a full UK bachelor’s degree entirely in China. Programmes such as BA (Hons) Business Management, BA (Hons) Events Management, and BEng (Hons) Engineering are delivered in English by SBC faculty and visiting UK academics. Students have the option to earn dual degrees from both USST and a UK partner university, enhancing their global employability.
SBC has become a benchmark for successful TNE, recognised by the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) and the Chinese Ministry of Education. With over 3,000 graduates, the college boasts high employment rates and strong international student recruitment, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and cross-cultural collaboration.
This partnership demonstrates NCUK’s ability to facilitate sustainable, high-quality TNE programmes that meet local educational needs while providing students with globally recognised qualifications.
