Our teaching mirrors the collaborative nature of global creative industries
Dedicated to providing high quality teaching across nine degree programmes, we work closely with industry to produce a learning environment that enables students to develop their skills using real-world scenarios.
Our students are guided by highly qualified and experienced tutors, studying in the heart of Manchester - a vibrant city that prides itself on being a hub of the creative industries. We have five floors of high specification audio studios, edit suites, dubbing theatres, creative workstations, and computer labs, all equipped with the latest industry standard hardware and software from companies such as Neve, Blackmagic, and Unreal.
Students studying in the School of Sound and Music Production can record, mix, and master sound in contemporary, well-equipped studio spaces. The School of Art and Design equips students with industry relevant skills, enabling them to enter the gaming industry as games designers, artists and illustrators. Students in the School of Film, Television and Media are able to use Futureworks’ own purpose-built film studio, complete motion capture facilities and Virtual Production LED Volume. We foster an interconnected creative community to mirror the collaborative nature of global creative industries.
Futureworks students benefit from small class sizes, enabling them to learn in a collegiate environment. From technical to welfare support, our team is committed to providing students with the opportunities they deserve to enable them to perform to the best of their ability. This atmosphere has helped to produce highly employable and sought-after graduates, with alumni working for some of the leading names in the creative industries.
