Decided entirely by students, the WUSCAs offer a valuable and distinctive student‑led perspective on quality in higher education delivery.
This year, more than 42,000 verified reviews were submitted across all categories, offering first‑hand insights into the student experience and helping future learners make informed choices.
The ‘Small or Specialist’ category celebrates the expert teaching, supportive learning environments and career‑focused experiences that define independent providers. As a specialist institution dedicated exclusively to early childhood education and care, Norland’s sixth win is a standout example of this strength.
Achieving consistent recognition from successive student cohorts, Norland’s success reflects the enduring quality of its highly personalised model of higher education, combining degree‑level study, practical training and real‑world experience in ways that continue to resonate strongly with students.
Dr Janet Rose, Principal of Norland, said:
"To be recognised once again by our students at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards is a huge honour for Norland. This award is particularly meaningful because it is based entirely on student voice and reflects the commitment of our whole community to providing an exceptional learning and pastoral experience."
Norland were presented with the award at an evening of celebration on Thursday 21 May 2026.
