An exciting opportunity to join IHE's growing team.

The role

We’re looking for a proactive Events and Training Manager to take the lead on our events and training for IHE members and prospective members. About you

You’re an experienced events professional with an enthusiasm for both strategy and execution. You have:

  • A proactive solution focused mindset.

£36,000 - £38,000 per annum (full time equivalent).

Benefits

Full or part time role (and job shares considered), super flexible employer, home working, 29 days annual leave plus bank holidays (four days fixed around Christmas), 10% employer pension contribution.

Working for IHE

IHE is small but powerful. We currently have 12 roles (full and part time), which means that we are all flexible and helpful to one another. Sometimes things come up that nobody is ‘responsible’ for so we expect all our employees to be ready to jump into something they might not be comfortable with or know much about. We’ve found that we learn a lot, really fast, that way!

We also understand that while work is important, it’s not your whole life so you might need to take time off, work part time permanently, or temporarily work from your friend’s house in Mallorca. We are very open to part time working, working at times convenient to you, and job shares. We also have an employee assistance programme to support you when things are difficult.

Location

We don’t have an office, so we work from home, but IHE provides equipment to ensure you’re comfortable. If you don’t have anywhere to work at home, we can arrange for some desk space at one of our members’ premises, so don’t let that put you off. We like to meet up occasionally to work through cross-cutting projects and strategies, and in this role, you will be needed for set up at all our in-person meetings and events, so you will need to be able to travel to central London within an hour and willing to work outside of your normal working hours on those occasions. IHE will pay travel expenses for these trips.

How to apply

Please send the following to [email protected]:

  • Your CV
  • A covering letter about how your skills and enthusiasms match up to this role

Please note that we will not consider any applications without a covering letter.

Don’t meet every single requirement?

Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We want to build a diverse, and inclusive workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with everything in our person specification, please do apply anyway.
