IHE vacancy: Partnerships Manager

Join our growing team in a critical business development role.

The role

We're looking for a Partnerships Manager to take responsibility for building, developing and maintaining strategic relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. This is a target-driven role with a focus on managing the delivery of partnership strategies, expanding IHE’s portfolio of Supporters and Partners, and maximising both financial income and in-kind contributions to shape services and support aligned to our members’ needs. You'll manage the complete partnerships lifecycle, from initial engagement and onboarding to continuous relationship management. The role involves securing sponsorship for key IHE events, including the IHE Annual Conference, negotiating partnership agreements and contracts, and identifying opportunities for collaboration aligned to IHE's strategic objectives.

About you

You’re an experienced business development professional with an enthusiasm for both strategy and execution. You have:

  • A track record of identifying emerging business opportunities and building collaborative stakeholder relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility and maintain strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Evidence of income generation and delivering to agreed KPIs.

Salary

£33,000 - £36,000 per annum (full time equivalent).

Benefits

Full or part time role (and job shares considered), super flexible employer, home working, 29 days annual leave plus bank holidays (four days fixed around Christmas), 10% employer pension contribution.

Working for IHE

IHE is small but powerful. We currently have 13 roles (full and part time), which means that we are all flexible and helpful to one another. Sometimes things come up that nobody is ‘responsible’ for so we expect all our employees to be ready to jump into something they might not be comfortable with or know much about. We’ve found that we learn a lot, really fast, that way!

We also understand that while work is important, it’s not your whole life. We are very open to part time working, working at times convenient to you, and job shares. We also have an employee assistance programme to support you when things are difficult.

Location

We don’t have an office, so we work from home, but IHE provides equipment to ensure you’re comfortable. If you don’t have anywhere to work at home, we can arrange for some desk space at one of our members’ premises, so don’t let that put you off. We like to meet up occasionally to work through cross-cutting projects and strategies. You will need to be able to travel to central London within three hours. IHE will pay travel expenses for these trips.
