Joanna manages IHE's partnerships activity, building and maintaining strategic relationships with organisations that contribute to and support the independent higher education sector. Working across the organisation, she develops opportunities for IHE’s Partners and Supporters that enhance the value of IHE membership, strengthen external engagement, and support IHE’s strategic priorities.
Her responsibilities include developing partnership frameworks and benefits, managing relationships with commercial and sector partners, overseeing partner engagement within IHE's community and events, and identifying opportunities for collaboration that deliver value for IHE Members, Partners, and Supporters.
Joanna plays a key role in ensuring that external organisations engage with IHE in ways that are relevant, appropriate, and beneficial to members, helping to foster productive relationships for the benefit of the independent higher education sector.
Joanna has worked in higher education throughout her career, with a particular focus on access, participation, and student success. She has extensive experience in developing effective partnerships that support collaboration, engagement, and shared goals, and in cultivating high-impact student-staff partnerships that enhance both the student experience and institutional practice.
