Ellen is one of our Policy and Engagement Managers, leading our policy work and member support in a range of areas.
Her areas of expertise include student services, equality of opportunity and inclusive practice, and recruitment and admissions, drawing on her professional background in these areas. She also leads our work on consumer and student protection. Ellen is passionate about supporting the development of diverse provision that enables students from all backgrounds to access and succeed in Higher Education.
Her responsibilities include leading staff Networks and forums and developing member training and resources. She also carries out research projects, including IHE’s work on Inclusive Practice, and represents IHE externally to the government, regulator and wider sector.
Prior to joining IHE in 2024, Ellen spent eight years working in various roles in two higher education institutions. This included managing student-facing services, and leading strategy and policy development for the student experience.
