OfS Free Speech Regulation Consultation

The OfS have published their proposals for a regulatory condition on freedom of speech, as mandated by the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act.

The proposals outline the regulatory conditions registered providers must meet, additional amendments to the regulatory framework to add aspects mandated by the Act, and how they will recover the cost of any investigations of providers, either for complaints or wider compliance with the free speech condition. In this session IHE policy staff will outline how the regulation may impact IHE members and ask for feedback to prepare IHE’s response to the proposals.
