Harassment & sexual misconduct: Maintaining a single source of information

The OfS has now published the outcome of the consultation on its approach to regulating harassment and sexual misconduct in higher education. This includes a requirement for providers to “maintain a single comprehensive source of information” which explains to students how their institution is preventing harassment and sexual misconduct, how incidents that do happen can be reported, and what students should expect – and how they will be supported – during any subsequent investigation.

During our earlier meetings with members this was identified as a key area of concern from the consultation proposals, so we have collaboratively developed a guidance document to support with this.

During this event, the IHE policy team will provide an overview of this requirement, and our consultant Chris East will share a draft guidance document for discussion. After the meeting this will then be finalised and shared with members.
