Evidence and evaluation: How to improve support for student mental health

This is an in-person event to build awareness and knowledge of the Student Mental Health Evidence Hub - the toolkit, examples of practice and the evaluation guidance - and to demonstrate how it can guide evidence-informed practice and build evaluation capacity.

The session will include:

  • An example of current practice from a small and specialist institution
  • An introduction to the Student Mental Health Hub
  • A workshop on beginning to develop a Theory of Change using the Student Mental Health Hub

The event will include a presentation from London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS) on their method of tracking student wellbeing to gather data for evidence informed interventions to support student mental health. LCDS has a very small student cohort, and therefore takes a collaborative approach to evaluation. We will be joined by Anna Helsby, Head of Registry and Student Well-Being to hear more.

There will be plenty of time to ask questions of the TASO team as well as to network and learn from other practitioners.
