The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) is consulting on changes which could mean higher education providers in partnerships must collect and return more student data, in some cases through their awarding partner. There are also proposals to collect individualised student data for all students studying qualifications overseas, including those in partnership with other providers or those learning online but from abroad.
This event will cover the changes proposed in the consultation on the Aggregated Offshore Review (AOR) including how they impact both domestic and overseas students. It is of particular relevance to members who:
- Are not registered with the Office for Students but partner with a HE provider who is registered
- Deliver online learning where some learners may be studying from outside the UK
- Deliver qualifications overseas – either in partnership with another education provider or through an overseas campus
- Providers who have returned the AOR before
IHE policy staff will outline the proposals and collect feedback from members to support IHE’s response. In particular this consultation asks about the burden of these changes, and proposes a specific scale for reporting burden. We would welcome members views on how much of an impact this will have on their data returns, their partnerships and their work with students who are studying from outside the UK. Find out more about the consultation here.
