Fiona is our Events and Training Manager, leading the strategic planning and delivery of a diverse programme of events, webinars, training, and professional development opportunities that support and engage IHE Members. This includes flagship events such as the IHE Annual Conference, IHE Awards, Academic Partnerships Conference, and AGM, alongside a busy programme of over 100 annual events taking place online and in-person.
Fiona is responsible for the strategic development of a cohesive annual calendar of activity that balances member needs, organisational priorities, and emerging sector developments. Working closely with speakers, partners, suppliers, and member institutions, she develops high-quality event opportunities that are relevant, practical, and responsive to the sector’s evolving needs.
Her role also includes managing event operations, budgets, and feedback evaluation, ensuring events are delivered efficiently. With a focus on continuous improvement, Fiona also leads the development of systems, processes, and digital tools that enhance the events strategy.
Prior to joining IHE in June 2025, Fiona managed professional development events with another membership organisation, with a focus on learning technology in higher education.
