This session, delivered by IHE Partner Eversheds Sutherland, is designed to provide a clear understanding of why investigations are important, how they should be conducted, and the skills and techniques required.
We will consider the legal context in which investigations take place and the potential risk areas if a proper investigation is not undertaken, including the areas which an employment tribunal will focus on. We will provide an overview of each stage of the investigation process, from planning to the preparation of an investigation report. We will also examine some of the legal and practical challenges that occur when conducting an investigation and how those may be managed and support provided to line managers.
