Data underpins the Office for Students (OfS) regulatory approach. Data returned by registered providers is used to monitor performance against key metrics, including student outcomes and experience, and to allocate funding. It is essential that providers seeking registration can collect, store, manage and report their data with efficiency and high levels of quality.
Led by IHE Consultant Martha Horler, this session will introduce the different data returns providers must complete and how to prepare for and complete these. This will cover areas including effective data collection and management, systems, data ownership, how to submit returns, and the guidance and resources available from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Attendees will also hear from two IHE members on their top tips for managing data returns.
This session is essential for any provider new to the OfS, or for staff new to the regulated environment or data returns.
